Dismantling the Factories of Death: The Fall of the TTP Training Hubs

As the sun sets over the rugged Hindu Kush, the geopolitical landscape of the Durand Line has shifted from a simmering border dispute into high-stakes military theater. Over the last two years, Pakistan has recalibrated its strategic patience towards Afghanistan, divorcing from traditional diplomatic channels to attain Peace through Strength. Since the launch of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq (Righteous Fury) in February 2026, the Pakistan Armed Forces have transitioned from a policy of strategic restraint to “Active Deterrence” against the sanctuaries of Fitna al-Khawarij (TTP) and their abettors within the Afghan Taliban (TTA).

The scale of the “immediate and brutal response” by the Pakistan Armed Forces is unprecedented. As per the conservatives’ estimates attained from the ground sources, the losses inflicted upon the Afghan Taliban (TTA) and their colluding partners in the Fitna al-Khawarij (TTP) include: –

  • Personnel Neutralized: A total of 435 Afghan combatants have been eliminated, with more than 630 injured in precision strikes.
  • Infrastructure Obliterated: Pakistani forces successfully destroyed 188 check posts used for launching cross-border raids.
  • Territorial Gains: In a display of tactical dominance, 31 strategic border posts (including Ghudwana Enclave) previously held by Afghan forces have been captured.
  • Heavy Weaponry: Destruction of 188 tanks, armoured personnel carriers (APCs), and artillery gun pieces, effectively subduing the mechanized capability of the TTA.

Intelligence reports have suggested neutralization of Suicide Bombing Training Centres (including Barmal and Hafiz Gul Bahadur) in the provinces of Paktika, Khost, and Kunar in recent Pakistani airstrikes. These facilities served as the assembly lines for the “Junior” and “Senior” martyrdom battalions. In addition to infrastructure damage, technical supply chain of “Made in USA” weaponry cache has also been disrupted. Apart from targeting terrorists’ capital, Pakistan has successfully managed to destroy strategic ammunition and drone depots located in Jalalabad and Khost, that stored armed quadcopters and improvised explosive device (IED) components.

The strategic message from Pakistan is very evident, any act of terror inside the sovereign territory of Pakistan will be met with clear and stern response. This puts Afghan Taliban at the cross roads of choosing between their terrorist guests or neighbor’s wrath.
